This is your space to explore your story, in your own way and at your own pace.

Everything is centered around you, your experiences, your understanding, and what feels most important to you.

As an Audhd counsellor, I bring a deep sensitivity and attunement to what is often left unspoken.

My approach is neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, creative, and authentically person-centred.

Together, we create a therapeutic space that feels respectful, reflective, and responsive to who you are and what you need.

You will be met with  acceptance, empathy, gentle humour, and thoughtful challenge, always grounded in compassion and care.

If it feels right for you, we can incorporate creative approaches such as Sandtray Therapy and Nesting Doll Therapy, offering alternative ways to explore emotions and experiences when words are difficult to find.

There are no scripts, assumptions, or one-size-fits-all solutions. Our work will move at your pace, shaped by what feels most supportive and meaningful for you.

You are not someone who needs to be fixed.

Sometimes what we need most is a space where we can be fully heard, understood, and accepted.

Your Story.
Your Way.
You  Centred.

Dawn was a massive help to me following a traumatic loss, helping me feel 'normal' in how I felt, more capable of living life in the experience of the grief process, and creating a safe space to land when my day to day life felt upside down".”

About Me.

I have a background in the NHS, including supporting individuals attending A&E who were experiencing mental health and emotional distress.

Alongside my professional work, I was a Special Guardian to a child with developmental trauma and ADHD. This experience highlighted the lack of support available to parents and caregivers and inspired me to create a space where people feel heard, understood, and supported.

After completing a Diploma in Therapeutic Parenting and a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling, I combine my professional training with lived experience to offer compassionate, trauma-informed support and to support parents understand and  unravel their own emotional story and support their child.

As a late-diagnosed AuDHD woman, I understand the complexities of identity, parenting, shame, grief, and self-discovery. My own experiences of trauma and healing have shaped my passion for helping others reconnect with themselves and move towards greater understanding and wellbeing.

I have volunteered with the Samaritans, a parenting charity during the pandemic, and  provided bereavement counselling through a charity alongside my private practice.

I remain committed to ongoing professional development, particularly in the areas of trauma, neurodivergence, and grief.

I offer a warm, genuine, and responsive space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace.

I look forward to working with you.

Warmly,

Dawn.
